Resistance was futile

Back to the Borg collective to make some scratch.  We'll see how long it'll take me to make a stash to take more time off.

A mind of its own

The interweb obviously has a mind of its own.  Most certainly a sentient consciousness that is hell bent to thwart my attempts to sync everything together.  Although it seems that part of the problem is the rate at which rss feeds are sent out and when some of the other apps do the same.  So I'm going to see how long this post takes to  show up.

That sync-ing feeling

Blogger, twitter, myspace, facebook and tumblr all want to sync with each other, but they don't do it seemlessly.  So I'll be making a few posts today to try and work out the problems.  Hopefully I can find the right combo to get everything working together.

The Hopkin's Workout

It's Thursday...almost there...

October is Dog Service Month...make sure to service your dog regularly...

This week is Pet Peeve Week...if you don't service your dog; your pet will be peeved...

Today is National Grouch Day...your dog will be grouchy if you don't service it...

On this day in:

1582: Pope Gregory XIII implements the Gregorian calendar. In Italy, Poland, Portugal, and Spain, October 4 of this year is followed directly by October 15...let's do the Time Warp...
1880: Mexican soldiers kill Victorio, one of the greatest Apache military strategists...apparently not that great...

Today's birthdays:

1937- Anthony Hopkins...so tell me Clarisse, did you wish him a happy birthday?
1942- Penny Marshall...Laverne and Shirley was painful to watch, but she made one hell of a director...
1959- Emeril Lagasse...BAM!

"I have a punishing workout regimen. Every day I do 3 minutes on a treadmill, then I lie down, drink a glass of vodka and smoke a cigarette."

Anthony Hopkins

My kinda workout...

Have a nice day; now get back to work...

What happens if I press this button?

OK, so you can sync lots of things together...

I have my Twitter and Myspace sync'd...and my blog sync'd with Twitter...and my blog rss feed to my Tumblr...and my Tumblr to my Facebook...and my Facebook to Twitter...

So if everyone did that I'm wondering if the system might get into some sort of feedback loop...

Since this is my first post after syncing everything together, when I click "Publish Post" I just might bring down the whole internet...a chance I'm willing to take...

Here goes nothing...

On this day in:

1635: Founder of Rhode Island Roger Williams is banished from the Massachusetts Bay Colony as a religious dissident after he speaks out against punishments for religious offenses and giving away Native American land...obviously not a Republican...
1992: A 13 kilogram (est.) fragment of the Peekskill meteorite lands in the driveway of the Knapp residence in Peekskill, New York; destroying the family's 1980 Chevrolet Malibu...I bet they didn't have insurance on it...

1952- Sharon Osbourne...the secret to Ozzie's success...
1954- Scott Bakula...of Quantum Leap and Enterprise fame...

Tony Shalhoub

That's funny, I don't care who you are...
